I was very geeky last night. Hacked my computer's processor to unlock it (with a 4H pencil, by the way) and had a play with overclocking it.

Finally settled down at 7.5x110 for a nice 825MHz CPU speed, along with pushing the memory speed to around 150MHz.

It's running very stable but a little too hot, maxing out at 46 degrees under heavy strain (Half Life at 1152x864 :) and idling at 38 degrees. Whoo. Might clock it down a bit just in case.

What else? I bought a USB - joystick port converter so I can use my old analogue joystick to play games like the original Star Wars vector game. Excellent.

Today I have to go shopping for rather less geeky things - namely a clothes horse so I can do some washing and dry it in a sensible way; and possibly a nice comfortable double bed. Excellent.

I'll put up that photo of me later, too. Aren't you all lucky people?
